Review by hotel critic
My recent stay at Chateau D'Isenbourg & Spa was a delightful blend of history, luxury, and the picturesque beauty of the Alsatian wine trail. The panoramic views of the Rhine Plain and the Black Forest from the chateau were simply breathtaking, offering a serene backdrop for relaxation and exploration. The Spa facilities, including the indoor pool and jacuzzi with vineyard views, provided a perfect retreat for unwinding after a day of sightseeing. The dining experience was a culinary delight, with two distinct dining rooms to choose from. The historic 12th-century room exuded elegance with its Louis XIII décor, while the modern room offered stunning views of the Clos d'Isenbourg Vineyard. The seasonal "Saveur" menu created by the Chef showcased the region's finest seasonal products, ensuring a memorable gastronomic journey. Our suite, the Siegeberg, was a charming oasis with its Alsatian charm and separate bedrooms, lounge, and bathroom. The modest yet comfortable space offered panoramic views of the Black Forest and the Alsace countryside, creating a cozy retreat after a day of exploring the vineyards. The personalized service at Chateau D'Isenbourg was exceptional, with the staff's kindness and attention to detail enhancing our overall experience. The warm welcome drink, along with the thoughtful pet amenities available, added a personal touch to our stay. The winter garden with its large bay windows was the perfect spot to savor a peaceful breakfast while admiring the picturesque scenery. In conclusion, Chateau D'Isenbourg & Spa exceeded expectations as a charming hotel nestled in the heart of the Alsatian wine region. From the exquisite dining options to the relaxing Spa facilities and the unparalleled views, our stay was a perfect blend of luxury and tranquility. I highly recommend this enchanting destination for anyone seeking a memorable and rejuvenating retreat in the heart of Europe.
